Aweber Review: How does it work?

Aweber is a company that specializes in email marketing and automation. They work by automating the process of building your list, engaging with those subscribers, and converting them into customers for you so they can do it 24/7 without any input from you. What’s great about Aweber are all their features like delivery time notifications or CRM analytics to help track engagement rates on emails sent through the program.

With AWeber, you can send out newsletters and broadcast emails with just a few clicks! You also have access to professional templates so you don’t have to design everything from scratch. Aweber will help your business grow by providing tools that allow you to create amazing campaigns without any hassle at all!

The basis of this system works on auto-responding e-mails where you can send one out automatically without being present when the subscriber engages with your sales page(s).

There are two different strategies that you can employ to bring leads into your sales funnel: solo ad strategy (which is being used by most marketers to get subscribers) and buying lists from other autoresponder companies.

You can then use the leads for your marketing campaigns, even if you don’t own software like Mailchimp or Getresponse.

Aweber Features

Aweber is the perfect tool for brands who want to grow their email list and have a higher conversion rate. With automation, it’s easy to set up campaigns that can help make your emails more effective because they are delivered at just the right time!

Here are some of the features:

  1. Autoresponder Feature To Save Time

To keep your audience informed about what is happening in your blog, store, or website, Aweber’s autoresponder comes in handy. It’s an excellent software to manage your opt-in newsletter. It gives you complete control over your subscribers.

All you have to do is set up automatic mails, and the time intervals during which they should go out and how many days back it should take the information from your site and send it as a newsletter. It is simple yet powerful enough to alert your readers of important information.

Aweber Email Marketing

The tool has a separate mail option, which can be added to any of the lists you have created. You can decide whether they should go out daily or at specific intervals like two or three days during business hours. That is an excellent tool as it helps you a lot in customer relationship management.

  1. Contact list segmentation and email reports

Aweber allows you to create several lists according to interest groupings so that messages do not get mixed up and lead to confusion hence an effective list management tool.

You can create an HTML newsletter with attractive graphics and links to your website from the list or use the customizable email templates options. Segmentation helps you to send personalized and high-converting emails.

Track your email sends, open rates, click-through rates (CTR), bounce rates, and unsubscribed contacts; that is a must-have function in any autoresponder for effective email campaigns. Maybe Aweber can add other elements like unsubscribes by source IP/browser/device later.

  1. Export and Import

If you are using Aweber to create a list for the first time, it is simple to import contacts from other sources – such as Yahoo! Groups or Hotmail account- into the program. The feature will prove helpful if you want to export your lists in a CSV file format to be imported on another Aweber account or by some other company.

It’s also helpful if you want to switch over from Aweber to any other service provider as it makes everything more straightforward for you. You already have all your data compiled; there is no need to start afresh with someone else’s email program.

You’re free to import or export subscribers at any time using the CSV, XLS, XLSX, TSV, or TXT format and move your data between different services without losing any of your contacts or running into limits.

  1. Form and landing page builder for users

Aweber is a landing page creator, too. It allows you to create more than one page for your blog. If there are several topics or blog broadcasts, which you would like the readers to be aware of and subscribe to your dynamic content, you can create multiple specific landing pages using a wide range of templates for all such topics, and link them to your home page with ease.

Aweber Features

That helps save time creating one site by adding several sub-sites or domains while keeping them under a single umbrella site. It also makes it easier to track those who visit your blog from different pages within the whole site – statistics will reflect this change quickly through graphs available in the control panel area.

  1. Email automations feature

You can send newsletters, automatic emails, and so on with Aweber—it’s an all-in-one solution that allows you to do it all in one place. With it, you can create effective email campaigns that send periodic emails with time intervals to subscribers based on their actions or purchase behaviour.

If you want to schedule follow-up emails with customers –who haven’t purchased after they’ve visited your site several times – you can do it with a simple opt-in process. You can also set reminders for events, such as birthdays and anniversaries so that customers will receive special offers at the right time.

Aweber allows you to set up drip campaigns or create rules so that your subscribers receive messages at specific times or after taking certain actions. As a result, you’ll be able to attract new subscribers with free opt-in forms and popups, as well as send follow-up messages based on criteria you will define, such as purchase behaviour or online browsing habits.

  1. Marketing tools

Aweber allows you to create HTML newsletters, plain text mail with the easy-to-use editor, or use the customizable email template options. Choose from a wide selection of over 700 templates with a responsive design that you can customize and send using your brand colours.

These templates have been designed to fit various niches. There is also a drag & drop design tool and live previews in your browser to allow for the quick and intuitive creation of messages and newsletters.

  1. Press Releases

Do you frequently create press releases for your organization or company? Well, it’s a great way to pass information out there on your business day.

Aweber helps you easily create press releases to distribute to thousands of online media outlets, including Yahoo!, Bing/MSN News, Google News, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter within minutes.

Aweber

One thing to consider when writing press releases using Aweber is that the keywords used in title tags matter a great deal; give it some thought before thinking about a new topic.

  1. Integrations with Google products

Aweber allows integrations with Google apps, including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs. With the Gmail integration, you can add a “Sign up with Aweber” button to all your messages. That will increase sign-ups by about 1/3, which is not that bad for freebies.

But more importantly, it will improve your deliverability rates significantly because people using Gmail know very well that they should never intentionally open suspicious attachments in their inboxes.

Aweber also works with popular third-party apps, including Yahoo!, AOL Mail, and Outlook, and is compatible with Android, Windows Phone devices, and Apple iOS.

  1. SpamAssassin Reduces Content Filtering

Guess why some of the biggest names online use Aweber? Well, it’s because it’s a service that delivers and gives them an added advantage in email marketing. The tools help to reduce the chances of your emails landing in the spam folder of your customer’s inbox.

To do that, it has a feature called SpamAssassin – it’s used by most ISPs – that helps avoid content filtering. Generally, the tool assigns a score to every message you are composing. If it exceeds 5, then the chances of filtering are high.

Aweber also sends out a confirmation mail whenever someone is added to or removed from any of the clean lists you have created. You will remain aware of whoever has been selected for your messaging. It is an easy, cost-effective, and efficient way to grow your subscriber list.

There are more features that will help you grow your online brand while using Aweber.

Aweber Pricing Plans

The packages are quite reasonable depending on business size. It’s considerably affordable compared to campaign monitor, Constant Contact, and iContact and almost the same price as Mailchimp. The tools have varied packages and features, though. So, they might be expensive but offer more advanced features. Check out this screenshot:

Aweber Pricing

First, there’s the free option that includes up to 500 subscribers and unlimited emailing per month. And if you’re starting out with your blog, this may be enough for a while.

But if you’ve got a bigger list and want to market your products or services effectively, it’s likely a good idea for you to step up to the next tier. That way, you’ll be able to send out more emails, and your future subscribers will have more opportunities to find out about the things you’re offering.

What’s in the free plan?

Aweber’s free plan favours small startups with 1-10 employees. You will have one list of up to 500 subscribers and the ability to send up to 3,000 emails per month. There will be Aweber branding in all your landing pages, as well. In addition, you can create web push notifications and collect up to 50,000 WPN subscribers.

The transactions fees will be slightly higher than the pro plan since it’s 1.0%.

What’s in the pro plan?

It will cost you $16.33 per month. You can save a few bucks by opting for the annual plan.

The plan allows you to create unlimited lists, collect unlimited subscribers, and send unlimited e-mails per month. You will also remove Aweber branding in your landing pages, undertake A/B testing, behavioural automation, segmentation, get access to advanced reports, and a whole lot of other features.

Aweber has custom pricing for advanced marketers who intents to have a list of more than 25,000 subscribers with a high success rate.

Who should consider using Aweber?

Aweber targets you as a small business owner, entrepreneur, big company, consultant, and solopreneurs with ambitious marketing goals. It caters to all industries ranging from, health, fitness & food to home services, mobile marketing, and more.

AWeber Free: Email marketing for free. No credit card required.

The tool is aimed at all marketers and startup owners across different niches, who want to convert their leads into conversions with a winning marketing strategy. They can do that by having an auto-responding advanced system in place as well as profitable offers.

Creators can also use it since it’s optimized for better content management and high conversion rates. It provides them with the platform needed to create compelling landing pages & squeeze pages.

What I liked about Aweber

There are a few reasons why I would recommend Aweber to you:

It’s easy to sign up

Signing up is a fast and easy process. You simply need to go through a few pages of sign-up forms requesting your name, address, and website URL, as well as the type of account you want to create: personal or company.

Once you’ve entered all the necessary information in the signup forms, you’re ready to start using their service and favourite tools right away.

It’s customer service

The company’s support staff are available 24/7. You can contact them through chat, mail, or telephone to assist you with customer solutions, such as your account, emailing, or even tracking leads if necessary.

They also offer a knowledge base that allows users to learn as much about marketing as possible; such that when they use the service, they can fully utilize it to grow their brands. Isn’t that awesome?

Automation and list management for faster growth

Another strength is its automation system, which will help save time and energy since once you begin the automation process, there is no need to handle calls, cold-emailing, or any manual work. You can leave the work for the system to handle.

What I didn’t like about Aweber

Aweber is not an excellent option for those who want to take advantage of advanced marketing techniques such as autoresponder sequences. But if you are a beginner in the field, then this service will work great for you and can be used to grow your business successfully.

In addition, you can’t undertake split testing for the landing page builder. You can’t fix Facebook pixels or Google Analytics cookies to track your customer activities. I wish they had an option to simplify this process.

If you’re looking for an email autoresponder that’s good in Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel give ActiveCmpaign a try.

FAQs

AWeber vs Mailchimp: which is better?

Both tools are great. The harbour has almost the same features, allow integrations and got nearly the same pricing packages. You will have to do a lot of digging to separate the two since what Aweber offers is almost always what Mailchimp has.

How does Aweber’s pricing compare to that of its competitors?

It’s considerably affordable compared to campaign monitor, Constant Contact, and iContact and almost the same price as Mailchimp. The tools have varied packages and features, though. So, they might be expensive but offer more advanced features.

However, Aweber offers all that you need to get started. You can explore additional options when your business grows.

My verdict

When it comes to building your brand, you need an email tool that will offer the basic and additional features you need. Aweber is one of those tools. It has the basics, but also provides some really great features for those who want to take their marketing strategy to the next level with automation and advanced analytics.

And if all of this sounds intimidating or like something you don’t have time for, just know it gets better – they offer an amazing free plan so you can test out what it would be like before committing to anything!

Their free plan has almost all that a small business needs to test out the waters before going for more expensive options or upgrading from their current plan. It even offers automation – something I haven’t seen many other platforms offering for free.

Start with Aweber today and see how they can help grow your company!
