In this elementor review, I’ll take an in-depth look at why elementor is the best page builder on WordPress. I will tell you how elementor page builder software helps your website in so many different ways.

I will discuss everything you need to know like its features, pricing, pros, and cons.

If you are a user of WordPress, you will find it limited when it comes to creating or editing posts and pages. Even if you use a premium theme, you still can’t customize it as you want and it will take you longer to create your page.

While there are many page builder options out there, one stands out above the others, in a BIG way.

That software is Elementor!

But I know what you’re saying.

“Do I really need a page builder?”

Well, let me put it to you this way. There are 1.5 BILLION websites on the internet these days. You honestly need all the help you can get to stand out from the competition.

So if you are here to know more about Elementor and how it will benefit you, then keep on reading my Elementor review.

What is Elementor?

Elementor is a plugin for WordPress that enables a drag and drop interface on the otherwise, dated interface.

It lets you edit the page you want with a visual page editor so you can see the changes you make, as you make them. This is a world of difference from using shortcodes to insert elements to the default WordPress editor.

This makes it easy for anyone of any skill level to edit a website these days. It’s so easy, even my dog could do it! (not really).

Not only does Elementor save you a lot of time, but it saves you money as they have made it easy to bring your page designs to life.

Why Use Elementor WordPress Plugin?

I know how hard it is to make pages for your web site.

In the past, you needed to hire expensive developers or rely on your own custom page builders. Not only was it expensive for most average users, but it was also time-consuming and overwhelming.

Having to deal with a web designer and trying to convey your vision to them was a NIGHTMARE. It really was harder than it needed to be.

I can personally remember spending months going back and forward with one trying to get exactly what I wanted. This was over many emails and phone calls.

Never again I said!

But then the team came along and build Elementor.

Using Elementor means that it requires less skill and NO custom code to create beautiful pages you would normally pay a developer thousands to make.

On top of that, they also have clean, lightweight code so it won’t slow your website down.

Right now Elementor is a must-have plugin that nearly all WordPress sites should be using.

Features of Elementor WordPress Plugin

Let’s take a look at some of the features that make Elementor stand out from the rest. This is just a small snippet of what I feel are the top features that set Elementor apart from the rest.

Drag and Drop Editor

One of the stands out features of Elementor is easy to use, drag and drop editor. This means if you can use Microsoft Word to create a document, then you can create a website. It really is that simple and easy to use.

If you have never used a page builder before and only the default WordPress editor, you will be wondering how you lasted so long using shortcodes everywhere for so long.

Lots Of Templates To Choose From

By default, there are lots of pre-made page, blog post templates and elements. These are as simple as clicking on the template you want, and then it is instantly on your page.

Another perk is that you can download template add on packs that will expand the default amount of templates you have with the original plugin.

You can find these packs on Youtube and Google as most people give them away as bonuses.

Responsive Editing

Responsive editing means that it is easy to switch between mobile editing and desktop editing. This ensures that the pages you make are cross-compatible between different devices and you do not need to worry about losing customers.

By default, the templates included are mobile-friendly so you only need to edit them once before they are ready to use.

Saving you both time and money!

Code-Free Design

Gone are the days of needing someone to code a website for you. Elementors interface is 100% drag and drop. No coding needed to get the look that you want. Simply click, drag, edit and publish!

It means that even beginner users such as myself are able to make a stunning website that is only limited by my imagination.

AutoSave and Revision

Did the computer crash? Make a poor edit and the client wants to revert it? No need to worry. One of the biggest issues with WordPress is crashing and losing all your work. Furthermore, if you make an edit and then client wants to change it back, that’s simple as a few clicks to do in Elementor!

Global Styles

Elementor supports global widgets and styles. What does this mean? Well let’s say you have a call to action button on multiple pages, you no longer need to change them all one by one. You can edit the style once and then apply it all to the rest of the site quickly.

Animations Built In

Want your page to stand out from the rest? Animations are the way to do it. With over 30+ built-in animations, you are able to find exactly what you need for that particular element.

Landing Page Support

Are you currently using something like Clickfunnels to collect your leads and build landing pages? With Elementor you can also create these simple pages to compliment your website.

While it may not be a full sales funnel, these will get most people set up and collecting emails in no time. Best of all, it’s apart of the free version.

Elementor supports a ton of Integrations that help connect with external services. Bringing even more functionality to the plugin as a whole.

Here are just a few of the Integrations that Elementor supports.

This list is growing all the time.

  • MailChimp
  • ActiveCampaign
  • ConvertKit
  • Campaign Monitor
  • HubSpot
  • Zapier
  • Adobe Typekit
  • Discord
  • GetResponse
  • Drip
  • ReCaptcha V3
  • Facebook SDK
  • MailerLite
  • Slack
  • Font Awesome 5
  • Custom Icon Libraries

It’s SEO Friendly

These days, being SEO friendly is more important than ever. With the rise of highly competitive websites, Elementor makes it easy to structure your pages and posts with heading tags and correct structure.

This will make sure your website shows up in Google for your related keywords.

Works With Any Theme

Unlike software such as Thrive Themes, Elementor actually has full compatibility with the themes already on the market place.

This means if you want to add it to your existing website, it’s as simple as installing and then enabling the plugin.

No theme change or anything needed.

Is The Elementor Pro Version Worth Paying For?

Personally, I think it is worth it. While you can get away with the free version, there are LOTS of premium features that can take your WordPress website to the next level.

It can be the difference in setting your page apart from your competition.

Elementor free Vs Pro

Elementor Theme Builder

While other platforms like Thrive Themes are literally asleep at the wheel when it comes to theme builders. Elementor has a massive head start with its theme builder.

But what is a theme builder you may ask?

Well, essentially it takes the same principles from the page builder and applies it to the rest of WordPress.

Don’t like the header? You can edit it.

Don’t like the blog page? You can edit that too!

You are only limited by your imagination and not the theme. This has always been a major issue when it comes to WordPress styling and Elementor solves these issues.

Previously you would have to build everything on top of a theme and hope that someone doesn’t land on the wrong page. If they did then it would look out of place compared to the rest of the website.

These days it’s not the case. This is one of the reasons why I choose Elementor above the rest of the other page builders out there. This is also the main reason why I decided to do an Elementor review. I wanted to tell the world about this AMAZING feature.

Elementor Pricing

Let’s dive in and take a look at the different pricing packages that Elementor has to offer. They have 2 main versions that they offer. If you’re unsure, simply start with the free version and then go from there.

You can upgrade from the free to Pro version at any time and retain all your existing settings, pages, posts, etc.

Elementor Free Version

This is by FAR the most common version and you can guess the price, $0 and 0 cents! 100% FREE. This is why most people use it. While it’s fine, there are some drawbacks, mostly the stuff I mentioned above and the lack of the theme builder.

There are a few more differences such as no custom widgets, no Woocommerce builder, no visual form builder etc.

Elementor Pro Version

There are actually 3 different versions of Elementor Pro that you can get. Personal, Plus and Expert. 3 versions include the same things.

The expert version is by FAR the best value as you can resell or use those other Elementor pro versions on your client websites.

This is perfect for most Web design or SEO agencies that want to add something extra for their customers. If someone buys a website from you for example, then you can use this as kind of a bonus that saves them $49 per year.

Elementor Pros and Cons

Now while Elementor is a good WordPress plugin, there are both pros and cons to any software. Let’s take a look at them now.

  • Easy to use
  • Easy to install
  • Lot’s of support
  • Connects with lots of external applications
  • Huge range of templates to choose from
  • Saves you time and money

  • Updates have been known to crash entire sites
  • Costly if you’re on a budget
  • Tied into the ecosystem

Even with those cons. Elementor is still worth trying out. I mean c’mon, it’s a free plugin. If you don’t like it. You can simply uninstall and your site will be back to normal.

Too easy!

Elementor Review Verdict

So is Elementor worth using? Of course, it is. Being easy to install and free for the basic plugin, it’s worth a try to see if its right for you. I mean it is free after all.

The best part is, if it’s not for you it leaves clean code on uninstall. So you don’t need to worry about it ruining blog posts and pages.

For the most part, the plugin is reliable and doesn’t really have too many issues. However, I have seen some big websites that rely on it go down even with the pro version and support. I feel I have to mention this as It wouldn’t really be an elementor review without mentioning it.

If you have the money then make sure you go for the Pro version. That Theme Builder really is a next-level function to add to your website and it really will give your website a “Pro” feel.

I hope you enjoyed our Elementor review. If you have any questions then leave us a comment below and ill do my best to answer!
